Top Ten Guilty Pleasure Films

Oh yes we all have those films that are not so great to most people but to people like me we actually like them no matter how silly the films are. And we always seem to sympathies the films instead of criticizing them. So here's my top ten of guilty pleasure films that I enjoy and everyone else don't.

10. DOA: Dead or Alive: OK sure it's video game film and like most video game films they suck (except for Mortal Kombat). But I seem to enjoy it despite a few awkward scenes that made no sense I kind of like the film. The fight scenes were decent, the plot was fair enough and the was passable. There was an issue that the character Ayane was portrayed by a non-Asian actress but since the game is not as old as say Street Fighter I'll let that side.

9. Justice League of America (1997): That's right there was a JLA movie back in the late 90s. And honestly I prefer this film over the bullshit Schumacher Batman films of the 90s. Sure it was cheesy it was low budget but at least it had the spirit of the JLA The odd thing about it despite there's no official DVD of the film it's still can be found in bootleg DVDs online.

8. I Love You Beth Cooper: Again I enjoy this film because mainly it DIDN'T relay on the same jaded boring repetitive pussy jokes and predictably non-interesting characters. This film is like the modern equivalent of the teenage films of the 80s (which has much better stories, comedy, and characters). Hayden Panettiere's character apparently broken the bullshit stereotype of a dumb blond or a stuck up bitchy popular girl and just ran with something a little common in real life.

7. Dark Light: There are films from the SyFy (Sci-Fi) channel that are just full out cheesy and weird and Dark Light is no exception. Basically the film's about a ancient demonic woman who was later in present day being recruited by secret organization to fight an evil that's spread a deadly plague. Sure the plot and development is not all impressive but to me I'm a sucker for films so cheesy it's good.

6. Doom: OK I get it that the film doesn't relate to the games but honestly I don't care. I mean I played the Doom games (from the SNES) and yet I still enjoy the film. Even if the film had the budget of the Lord of the Rings they wouldn't give the whole "one marine fighting demons from hell" any proper justice. This film is not a complete cop out just that they cut a few corners to make this film interesting. Silly maybe but not really stupid, self-aware but without being a parody of itself.

5.Innocent Blood: This was the film that was talked about even in grade school believe it or not. A black comedy horror film about a sexy vampire feeding on mafia guys yeah that was a lot to buy back then. And if you had HBO that your parents won't paying attention of what was on and you were at 8 to 10 years (say for example me). You were so pulled in to this film you would've kept it to yourself until you tell friends in grade school that you've watched it.

4. Species 1-4: I couldn't count these films as separate films cause that wouldn't be fair in this top ten list. Anyway, Species was another film that grew on me since grade school. An alien-human woman Hybrid escapes from a scientific facility and now wants to mate to reproduce. With the following sequels the plot seems to be the same with some differences ether way all these films I deeply enjoy (as free porn that is).

3. Class of Nuke'Em High: This was the film that made wish my high school was like that. A normal high school that is located a quarter of a mile from a nuclear power plant. A film that features a high school kid having his "tally-whacker" growing to the size of Godzilla's thumb after smoking a nuclear contaminated weed. And as me being a kid back then I was beginning to believe that wow would that happen if I smoke some radioactive weed.

2. Generation X: A low budget 90s comic film that I find more entertaining than X3, Wolverine Origins, and Dragon Ball Evolution combine. This film was a TV movie that came out on my birthday so it really has a special place in my heart. Originally was meant to become a TV series after the film aired but that plan fell through and the film was shown only once and ever be seen again. That is until the help from the internet DVDs and recoded copies of Generation X, the film has been sold on bootleg DVDs. Up to this day I still enjoy this from because it has the spirit of the Generation X comic despite how cheesy it is.

1. Lifeforce: This was the first guilty pleasure film I ever watched when I was a kid. Apparently at the time when the ratings system didn't reach to VHS just yet my mom actually brought this film out of the it was a horror film. Just didn't know that it would have a space vampire woman spending most of the film asshole-naked draining her victims of their "lifeforce". Up to this day I still watch this film on DVD including the 15 minutes of material that was never shown in theaters and on VHS. I swear my mom would freaked out and thrown away the VHS if I went up to her and say "Momma, there's a naked lady on this movie. Should I be watching this?"
