The Film Arsenal: The Machete

Hello folks and welcome to a new segment called The Film Arsenal where I take certain weapons from certain films and review it, let's start off with the machete. Usually it serves as a tool of cutting down annoying tall glass but put in the hands of Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) and it becomes a weapon of mass dismemberment. Practically a short-sword, the machete is useful for chopping off limbs, cutting open people's stomachs and causing mass decapitations on enemies. If the main character or bad guy is bad ass enough the machete can be easy to conceal, easy to use, and easy to intimidate enemies. Now Jason Voorhees isn't the only one who uses this handy weapons, Arnold Schwarzenegger used it once in the film Commando when at one point he had to improvise. Danny Trejo is walking hall of blades in the film...well...Machete. It's a simple weapon but the machete is extremely affective in the film world.
